Artist Statement:

Harrison is interested in documenting through the use of photographs to define the times we currently live in and how they reflect American ideology. He uses subject matter such as architecture, place and community to compare the economic and social status of classes on a local and national scale. Combating subject matter, either in a single image or sequenced in a series, exemplifies the blurred line of our existing class levels.

Aside from documentary projects, Harrison photographs a range of artists and musicians. Having grown up in a musical family he was exposed to music throughout his life, specifically jazz. He is based in New York City, where you can often see him photographing at Birdland and Dizzy’s.
